Check out my friends!

I really like to watch the animals on my mobile and the fish on my swing! I even talk to them sometimes, especially when they stop moving!

What a crazy month! It seems to have FLOWN by! We are all adjusting well and settling into out new roles as Mom. Dad, and Daughter. Addison is growing so fast- by Jen's estimation (weighing with and without Addison), she weighs 10 pounds. Addison has outgrown newborn sizes and is into the 3 month size clothes. Jen is working her way back into her pre-pregnancy clothes. The biggest problem is most of her pants rub her incision. Otherwise things are pretty much back to normal. Jeremy is proud that he didn't gain any sympathy weight! Enjoy the pictures! - Addison, Jen, & Jeremy

Splish Splash

So my mom waited until I was hungry to try out the bathtub for the first time. (I had trouble giving up my belly button stump so I have only had sponge baths thus far.)
Mom hopes that I will like the bath and the splashing will make sleep longer at night. I have slept in my room for the past few nights. I am averaging 3 hours between feedings with the occasional 4 hour stint! Mom likes those, but since I seem to have her fast metabolism, she will just have to wait for me to go that long consistently!

Burrrrr...Its Cold Outside!

With the recent cold weather (yeah, we know, our North Dakota relatives think that a high of 38 degrees is balmy!) my mommy has me bundled up every time we go out. Dad thinks that my cute bear hat is ridiculous - I haven't decided yet.

Tummy Time

Dad read about tummy time and decided to try it out. I really like to look at the shapes and the pretty girl in the mirror.

Addison the Bunny

I like to play dress up with my towels. I can be a duck too!

January 10, 2007

After a long day of shopping, and a good nap, Addison is ready to do it all again!

Savannah, the Nanny

We wondered how Savannah would take to the baby. Finally we assumed that it would take her a week to even notice the baby. She has proved us wrong by stepping up and doing her part to see that Addison is well cared for! Remember Nana, the dog nanny from Peter Pan? She hasn't got any thing on Savannah!

Addison gets a visit from Lukas & Alex

Lukas ADORES me! Me Me, Mom, Aunt Megan, Lukas, Alex, and I went to lunch and then shopping. Lukas wanted to be very close to me and was very protective.
Alex is still unsure about Addison. We think that he has figured out that he is no longer the baby. He did finally get close to her and give her a kiss, but he wanted no part of holding her!

Up Close

Here she is up close- just ignore the spit up on her shoulder!

Savannah meets Addison

We really thought that it would take Savannah a good week to even notice Addison. She sniffed her a few times and then gave her a big kiss. Savannah seems somewhat jealous and confused. (We use the same cartoon voice to talk to the baby that we use to talk to the dog.) When the baby cries or makes noise, Savannah likes to check it out to make sure all is OK. She has decided that she will get more sleep if she stays downstairs rather than upstairs where Addison is!

Goin' Home

Mom & Addison leaving the hospital. Look at all it took to get to this point:
Yeah mom and I know that my clothes are a bit large, but it was too cute!

Dad figuring out the car seat carrier

It is hard work getting ready to go!

Getting a bottle

Since big babies lose weight a bit faster than smaller babies, we had to supplemnet with a bottle after each feeding to keep her from wasting away!

This is Jeremy's sister Morgan. Her friends know her as Nicole (she started using her middle name in elementary school and didn't tell her parents! This led to confusion the first time the teacher called to talk to Nicole's mom and Pat had no idea who Nicole was!) She is very excited to have a niece and is going to be doing a lot of babysitting!

Addison & Grammie/Nana/Grandma

Jeremy's Mom, Pat, hasn't quite decided what she would like to be called. Regardless of what Addison calls her, we are certain that she is one of the most excited Grandmothers EVER!

Addison & MeMe

Me Me (Jen's mom) can't wait to take Addison shopping

Addison & PaPa

Pa Pa (Jen's Dad) and his first granddaughter.

Our 1st Family Picture

Our first family photo- we are just missing Savannah. For some reason the nurses frown on visits from sisters that are of the 80 pound golden retriever variety!

Lukas meets Addison

Lukas (Jen's nephew) was so sweet when he met Addison. We were a bit worried since he said he would not share his toys or take her for a ride on his Grave Digger about how he would react. He couldn't have been prouder. His mom (Aunt Megan) BRIEFLY thought about having another child. She recovered quickly!

Addison finally arrives!!

We were induced on 12/29 and Addison Caroline Tabery was born via c-section at 2:15 am on 12/30. At a dainty 9 pounds 8 ounces and 21 inches long, Jen was thankful for the c-section! Everyone handled it well. She has a ton of hair!
