PICTURES FOR ME ME'S BIRTHDAY

Me Me wanted a picture of Addison. Lukas, and Alex for her birthday. The final product turned out great, but the story of getting a good picture is even better...
We have known that she wanted this picture since- oh before Addison was born (you know AGES AGO). Three weeks before her birthday, I called Megan to see when a good time would be. I agreed to make the appointment because surely Megan would forget. Well, I FORGOT! Needless to say trying to get an appointment in the morning, the week before Easter and during Spring Break was impossible. One o'clock was the best that could be done.
I had a dentist appointment the day they were going, so Addison went to stay at Megan's while Megan waited for the plumber (no, Lukas didn't throw a truck down the toilet again, just a leaky sink!). When I came back from the dentist, the plumber still hadn't arrived. We waited and got the kids ready.
Once the plumber came and went we decided to go on to the mall and hope for a cancellation. No such luck! While walking around the mall and avoiding the food court in order to keep Lukas and Alex clean, Megan decided that perhaps Sears would be a good idea. Off we went to Sears and were told that we could be seen in 20 minutes. Great we thought!
It quickly became apparent that this was not going to work. The photographer could not understand that all we wanted was a picture of the 3 kids and kept trying to take a picture of individual kids. She tried to push a cheesy pastel background on us and acted offended when we asked for the much less cheesy yellow one. When trying to get they kids attention she used a shaker can. You know, the kind that you use to train dogs with that make a horrific noise. It scared the poop out of Addison, thus giving her a deer in the headlights look about her. Lukas and Alex looked horrified too. Lets just say that the pictures SUCKED!
Megan realized that we could still make the 1:00 appointment at the Picture People and RAN, with 2 toddlers, in order to keep the appointment while I paid the sitting fee. As i neared the Picture People (completely out of breath- as did Megan) I could hear a child wailing. I knew it was one of my nephews! It was Lukas- Alex had bitten him 2x and Megan had to pry his arm out of Alex's mouth. Megan knew that Lukas wouldn't recover and had her keys out in order to leave. The AMAZING girl at the Picture People was able to talk him into getting his picture taken.
This girl was able to get all 3 kids' attention. The pictures are great! There are a few below. You can see them all at http://smilestore.picturepeople.com/pn/tpp/home

Whew! You would think it ended there...But there is always more! When we were leaving, I buckled Addison's finger into the seat belt. Then we arrived at Daycare and her bottles had leaked, leaving 1 oz to last 3 hours. I took Addison to work with me, thinking she hadn't had a nap and would sleep all afternoon. Well, that was how I learned that overtired babies don't sleep well in strange places! What a day, but we got some really cute pictures!
